Learn Piano Chords

Every child has a dream to be somebody. Some children dream big and bold, wanting to be astronauts, doctors, architects and even musicians. Learning to play an instrument is not easy and especially when it has fifty-two white and thirty-six black keys. Many people are drawn to learn piano chords. Just think about the different genres of music that can be played on a piano; jazz, blues, funk, classical, the list goes on.

Many experience a real connection when playing piano chords and even individuals that have just started to learn piano chords. The piano as many professionals describe it, is more than an instrument, it's another means to express themselves. Without getting passionate about playing piano chords it's hard to really progress.

It can be frustrating when you feel like you're not making progress on technique, but practice is essential for success. Even the most talented pianists began at the bottom and had to make their way up. The only way to become good and even great is through frequent practice.

It's fine learning theory, but the best way to learn piano chords well is plenty of hands on practice. Using the imagination to practice playing piano chords can help you to develop much more quickly.

When using imagery you need to make the imagined experience as real as possible. Imagine every key on the piano and see and hear yourself playing the piano as if you were really playing. It's no secret that the practice of visualizations is a powerful tool which is used by many professionals in various fields including golfers, soccer players, sprinters and musicians. The use of mental visualizations is an age old tool that has been used by anyone that knows how powerful it can be.

Make a habit of daily practice and apply what you learn from books. Starting out on the piano can feel unfamiliar and awkward. This sensation is a very normal experience. The more you get on the piano and play, the more you will comfortable and in time it will feel very natural for you. The point is to practice as often as you can and don't be afraid to play. Everyone sounds bad when they first play the piano.

Even if you're just starting out, you need a piano or keyboard to practice on. A used keyboard in good condition will do. Although usually pricier, a keyboard with weighted keys is a better choice. Compared to 'synth' type keys, weighted keys give a more realistic feel when playing.

You will find that it's much easier to switch over to a real piano when playing a keyboard with weighted keys. Piano players dislike synthesizer type keys as they can feel unnatural and too mechanical. There are a couple of pros to playing on a keyboard, even though playing on a piano is still the best.

Firstly, you don't have to worry about annoying the next door neighbor because you can plug your earphones in. The metronome is a must for playing in time and any keyboard will have one. If you know nothing about tuning pianos, then you don't have to worry about that with a keyboard. Another good point, is that keyboards are portable, making them easy to transport. Although keyboards have lots of good points, a real piano is still superior. There's nothing quite like the feel and sound of a real piano.
